Technology that betters my education... lightbulbs.
I use my smartphone all the time even in class, it has a to do list app so that I don't have to use a assignment book I can just put it on the list and check it when i do it and it goes away. Facebook, if there are events on campus I can check Facebook or just use my status to ask people for help if I get stuck. Youtube has enough instructional videos that you can learn anything from doing a rubix cube to Burnie-ing. I use my laptop all the time researching, writing papers and doing work for my Info class, etc. Most of all I would say the most important piece of technology is the light bulb because with it we can do more then ever thought possible before it was invented. I like the idea of more technology in the classroom though I'm not sure how I feel about doing classes completely online. Some things like projectors and computers can help but too many pieces of technology could prove to be a distraction.

Yeah I totally use my smartphone for everything in the classroom. It has been a better help then a lot a teachers.
ReplyDeleteI'm also not completely sure how I feel about classes becoming more and more online. It seems like I do more work outside of class than in the classroom. I am always checking Myclasses in case anything important is posted. I feel like my life revolves around my computer while I'm in school.
ReplyDeleteI hate the online portions to class. I think having some online assignments due once in a while can be an additive to the class but if you try and do mostly everything online i think it is stupid. Students in my opinion learn better with hands on in classroom work and having a teacher there to give you advice and specifically show you how to do things sometimes is much more beneficial than typing it out in an email or something.
